Highly qualified financial advisor with broad expertise across the financial planning spectrum...

There were two clear moments that sparked my interest in finance. The first was spending a month in Bangladesh as a 19 year old. The Bangladesh experience was eye-opening and I quickly gained an appreciation of what “finance” means to different people in different economies.

The second was spending time with my uncle in Paris a few years later. He had a 30-year career working as an economist for the OECD based in Paris. He spent time preparing reports for the governments of the OECD countries including the US, Germany, Iceland, New Zealand and others. Gaining insight to a macro view of the economy and how that affects individuals was something I find fascinating to this day.

These experiences shaped my study, which include a Bachelor of Commerce, passing the Level 1 CFA exam, post graduate study in economics (Canterbury University) and completing NZQA Level 5 (specialising in Investments and Lending). My working career has included a broad range of banking roles which have provided “on the ground” experience of the realities for individuals and businesses across New Zealand.
I started in 2009, in the midst of the Global Financial Crisis, and have since been fortunate enough to be an Agribusiness Manager, Bank Manager, Investment Adviser (Private Banking) and a Corporate Banker (amongst other roles). I have met with clients who were struggling to meet their next rent payment, through to owners of multi-million-dollar companies and everyone in between. I have also seen market upswings and downswings in dairy, forestry, equities, bonds, real estate and interest rate markets.

As an adviser, the principles of listening well, understanding clear goals and executing accordingly, remain true regardless of who you are working alongside and what part of the cycle you are in.

Outside of work, I enjoy trying to keep up with my daughter at the CrossFit gym (poorly) and enjoy travelling with my girlfriend from the Lincoln Halls of residence…(now my wife)…

Personalised wealth management with 10+ years' experience in financial services...

I believe everyone deserves access to quality financial advice and the confidence to make informed decisions about their future. I enjoy helping clients navigate life's financial milestones, building lasting relationships and creating strategies that evolve as client's financial goals change.

With more than 10 years' experience in financial services, I've worked across retail, business, private banking and wealth management. I provide advice across lending, Kiwisaver, investments and wealth planning. Whether you're buying your first home, growing an investment property portfolio, expanding your business, planning for retirement or protecting the wealth you've built, I'll take the time to understand what's important to you and tailor personalised advice to your unique circumstances.
I believe financial advice should be clear, practical and personal. My goal is to simplify complex financial decisions, empower you to make confident choices and be someone you can rely on throughout every stage of your financial journey. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing clients achieve their goals - whether that's getting the keys to their first home, growing their investments or enjoying a comfortable retirement.

Born and raised in Nelson, I'm proud to be raising my young family in the region I call home. Community has always been important to me, and one of my proudest achievements was raising more than $250,000 for Nelson Tasman Hospice as a contestant in Dancing for a Cause in 2025. Outside of work, I'm kept busy with my two daughters and lead an active lifestyle, exploring the outdoors with family and friends and the gym.
